The future of working from home

With no clear line in sight to the end of working from home, so many of us have got used to the daily routine of taking the day by storm laptop ready and armed with a pair of slippers! With working from home set to be become a continued new normal and many employers planning to roll out hybrid working from home models after the pandemic, it is no wonder why home offices have been highly sought after. Some employers have even gone as far as offering grants to employees towards their own home offices.

A recent study from Mercer, a human resources and workplace benefits firm, showed 94% of 800 employers indicated productivity was the same or higher from their employees working from home. Other studies showed longer hours spent working as well as fewer breaks & fewer sick days were found to be amongst other benefits employers saw from their staff working from home.

Goldie Chan who writes for Forbes magazine, said create a comfortable office space as her 1st out of 6 points when doing an article on how to be more productive in your daily work. The vast majority of us would completely agree! Being able to have that luxury of working from home yet in a space that is functional, comfy and a separate entity from communal home space is vital. With Many households in the UK investing in their homes and understanding the importance of adding value it’s no wonder home offices have become a hot topic.
