Jackon UK presenting at NSBRC Eco Workshop

JACKON UK is delighted to be taking part in the upcoming Eco Workshop on Building Systems & Project Management being organised by the National Self Build & Renovation Centre in Swindon this coming Saturday.

JACKON is an enthusiastic supporter of the NSBRC and has a permanent presence within the exhibition at the Centre. The company is now proud to be taking part in one of the first live events to be held at the Centre since the easing of lockdown.

JACKON’s presentation will be made by Glenn Kiely, Business Development Manager, on the subject of ‘Using Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) to produce an Eco Build’.

JACKON’s ICF building systems enable new houses to be built with incredibly low u-values, meaning they are very well insulated and highly energy efficient, so they are very economical to run. As the Government’s new Future Homes Standard, which will require up to an 80% cut in emissions, becomes a key part of the construction industry’s green recovery going forward, JACKON can state that it is 100% ‘Future Homes ready’.

The company has unrivalled expertise in the manufacture of EPS (moulded expanded polystyrene) and XPS (extruded polystyrene). Its two key complementary systems – JACKODUR ATLAS for creating insulated floor slabs and THERMOMUR ICF for building the formwork – are set to revolutionise the way houses are built. Not only are they key to building energy-efficient buildings, but they are also straightforward to work with, reducing construction time on site and eliminating waste.

Both self-builders and construction professionals will find much of interest in the JACKON presentation which is timetabled to take place at 2.45pm. The Eco Workshop kicks off at 10am at the NSBRC and includes presentations from manufacturers, architects and other experts in the field of building an eco-home. The event is free to enter, and bookings should be made directly with the NSBRC.
