Gardeners ‘question time’ at the Ideal Home Show 2018

Running from 17 March to 2 April, the Ideal Home Show sponsored by Zoopla* hosts top gardeners Katie Rushworth, Skinny Jean Gardener, David Domoney and Alys Fowler as the show celebrates its 110 anniversary this year at Olympia London.

The Ideal Home Show was the first exhibition of its kind. In 1908, visitors queued to view the furnished show houses and to tour a landscaped garden.

In 2018, the Ideal Home Show eclectic and dynamic garden sets are a hotbed of innovative and on-trend styles. This year’s futuristic gardens feature traditional and contemporary design, bursting with fresh concepts, clever planting arrangements, sustainable techniques, garden pods, and creative ways to maximise small urban spaces.

The public can interact with the gardening experts as they bring green-fingered decades of know-how and specialist areas of knowledge to the UK’s leading home exhibition.

ITV’s Love your Garden David Domoney reveals secrets from the Chelsea Flower Show. BBC’s Gardeners’ World presenter Alys Fowler offers advice on how to upkeep a neat garden and shares her love of house plants. Get a ‘summer ready’ garden with celebrity grower and writer Katie Rushworth, and finally join the popular social influencer Skinny Jean Gardener as he shares tips for designing the ultimate family garden.

David Domoney commented:

“I love sharing my life-long passion for gardening at this event. It’s really important to me that people get to make the most of their gardens. Whether it’s planting, growing or simply mowing, the Ideal Home Show is an important event for highlighting that big or small, a garden is an important and exciting part of a home.”

For the 17-day event, the Super Theatre will be home to live demonstrations supported by Q&A sessions.

With over 600 exhibitors, visitors can enjoy an array of exclusive offers and a packed programme of talks and demonstrations. In addition to the garden section, the Ideal Home Show 2018 has five sections: Interiors, Home Renovation, Style, Homewares and Home Accessories.

Co-located with the Ideal Home Show, visitors receive free access to the Eat & Drink Festival 2018, where celebrity chefs and drink industry experts take to the stage for live demonstrations and Q&A sessions. Visitors can also enjoy food from street food vendors and modern cuisine experts.
